Another year.

Gone.

Already?

Where did those 365 days go?

I have no idea.

It’s been quite the year—a year of many changes, new seasons, trials and triumphs.

And while I’m done with school and discussion boards and papers and reading assignments and all that other school-related stuff, I’m still just as busy.

But in a different way.

And this new type of busy-ness has been reflected in the lack of posting on this blog over the past several months. It seems all my writing energy has been put into my new job, which is okay, because I absolutely love my new job!!!!!! And it’s been so amazing—and a bit unbelievable—to see things I’ve written published on the worldwide web (although I can’t say where since I’m a Ghostwriter...and if I told you, then I’d have to kill you!). ;)  I still have to pinch myself sometimes...

And while I haven’t been “formally” in school since April, I’ve learned so many new things and tackled so many new challenges, and done things I really didn’t think I could do. But with a supportive family and friends, and many tender mercies sent from above, I’ve been able to do every task I’ve been asked to do.

And that has been a huge blessing in my life!

So as I look forward to another brand spankin’ new year that begins in a few short hours, I've been thinking about this quote from Brad Paisley that I really like:

“Tomorrow is the first blank page of a 365 page book. Write a good one.”

And I’m a bit curious.
  • What will be written in my 2014 book?
  • What changes will take place?
  • What trials will I face?
  • How will I handle them? With a positive, grateful attitude? I hope so...
  • What blessings will I receive?
  • How can I take full advantage of Every. Single. Day?
  • What will I do to accomplish the many goals on my list?
  • How will I better serve those around me, especially my family and the Young Women I work with at church?
I think it’s time to make an outline for my 2014 book.
