I was supposed to work at John's office today, but thankfully, I finished up everything that he needed me to do yesterday.
Instead, I get to spend the day with Mark Twain and his A Connecticut Yankee in King Arthur's Court. We got to read chapters 1-11 this week, and the rest--another 250 pages, of small font, I might add--needs to be finished for next week's activities. We also get to read a few short stories and poems. It will be a busy week, I think.
So this is where I'll be. And I'm sure one or both of the girls will join me as soon as I sit down. They are snuggly like that.
Sounds like a pretty rough day, don't you think? Curled up on my couch recliner with my favorite blanket and a good book. Rough day, I tell you. :o)
And I'm also sure that at some point today some chocolate will enter this picture, because I'm already sleepy and it's only 7:26 a.m.

I'm actually really enjoying this book. It's one of 6 (or is it 7?) that I get to read this semester in my "American Literature Realism and Modern" class. It's always interesting to me that when I read something with the focus of doing a paper or an assignment, I really like what I read and don't have a problem staying focused. I guess it's because I'm totally engaged. Hopefully this will ring true with the other books I get to read this semester.
And...
I will be graduating from college 13 weeks from tomorrow!
I still cannot believe it.
