So I've been figuring out my classes/teachers for next semester because I get to register next Monday - one week from today - for my Very Last Ever Semester Of Undergraduate Study!!!
As I was doing so, I noticed that the required 2 credit Foundations Capstone class I need has been changed from a 200 level class to a 300 level class.
What?!
I was going to take a 300 level 2 credit religion class because I'm 2 credits short of the 30+ credit requirement of upper division classes, and a religion class sounded pretty good.
I had a thought...
(Do you see where this is going?)
Could this Capstone class also count for the 2 credits I'm missing for upper division classes?
Would that be too good to be true?
So I called Academic Advising and talked to an Adviser. I explained my question and after looking through my credit audit he said, "Yes, you can count your Capstone class for your upper division requirements."
I said, "Are you sure? Because this is really important to me because I'll get to graduate in April with 3 of my kids."
He said, "That is awesome!"
I said, "Because I don't want to get to graduation application time and have them tell me I'm missing 2 credits of upper division classes."
He said, "You won't."
Then I asked him to please email me this information so that I have it for back up in case I need it.
I want to be doubly sure.
He said he would, and he did:
I think that is just about one of the prettiest emails I've ever received.
So, Crazy Semester #2 has just gotten less crazy by 2 credits, which will free up 6-8 hours per week for the English 450 Rhetoric class I get to take, which is the wicked stepsister class of the Horribly Awful English Class of last winter semester.
At least I know what I'm getting myself into.
But I will make it through, and then I will GRADUATE!!!
Feeling very blessed today.
