John and I went on a little get-away Wednesday through yesterday before the BYUI kids go back to school. He really didn't care where we went as long as we weren't at home. He doesn't "vacation" as well when we stay home. I've always wanted to go to Charleston, South Carolina, so that's where we went.
I will post more on that later because Kam and I have a couple of skirts we're trying to finish before she leaves for school, and I need to get my lesson finished for Young Womens tomorrow. I did some work for John at home on Monday and Tuesday before we left, but just wasn't in The Mood to work on my lesson either of those days.
Anyways.
Back a few weeks ago I posted about some of my favorite things right now, and #5 was Peanut Butter Cheerios. Love them. The kids love them, too. Kailen might love them almost as much as I do. Walmart came out with a two-pack that was a really good deal, so we'd pick up a two-pack or more when we went to Walmart.
Then the two-packs were gone.
And we were so sad.
Because in my eyes, a single box is pretty pricey for the size of the box and for the fact that a box only lasts about two days - tops - at our house.
We've been looking at every Walmart we've come across for more two-packs.
And we haven't found one. Not one.
So Thursday, when John and I were in a Walmart in Charleston before we headed to the beach, I wasn't even thinking about looking for our Peanut Butter Cheerios two-packs. Until we ran into a "Clearance" end cap and there they were.
*Cue: Cheering. Really loud cheering.*
So we put every. single. two-pack. in our cart.
Yes. The picture is fuzzy. I was pretty excited.
And since Kailen loves Peanut Butter Cheerios almost as much as I do, I sent this picture to her in a text with the message: "Look what we just found! Buying all they had left. 22 boxes!"
She replied, "Yeah!!!!!!!!!!"
The Walmart associate who checked us out kind of looked at us a little bit strangely.
Oh well.
Then we loaded all 11 two-packs/22 boxes into the back seat of John's truck. As we drove around they'd shift around, and when John would open the door they'd fall out on him. He'd say something like, "I'm getting smashed by all these Peanut Butter Cheerios!" With a smile of course. And he continued to tease me throughout our trip about my Peanut Butter Cheerios.
But that's okay.
Because I have one very happy youngest daughter and a pretty excited son and oldest daughter.
And that's all that matters.
Even though they keep teasing me about all our Peanut Butter Cheerios.
Except for Kailen, of course.
She had some for breakfast first thing this morning.
