[7/28/12] Because I seriously don't know if I can wait until January.

I have become a huge fan of this:

Huge fan.

I watched the first season on Netflix. In one day.

It was awesome!

I looked and looked for season 2. The free version, of course. Although I really would consider buying the DVDs. I still might...

In the meantime, our friends Diane and Doug got hooked, too. Although Diane was a bit more ingenious and signed up for a free month of Blockbuster because they had season 2.

She's absolutely brilliant!

So we've been sharing it.

(They are such nice friends!)

I watched what I thought was the last episode Saturday night. In anticipation of season 3, I looked at the brief season synopsis, and it talked about Mary and Matthew's engagement that happened at the end of season 2.

What?!

There wasn't an engagement in the episode I watched.

After further research I discovered that we'd missed the final episode. I found it on amazon instant video and told Diane about it.

She looked at the DVD again and it was there! Although it wasn't called "Episode 9." It had an actual title. That's why we missed it. We were so glad Diane hadn't already sent it back to Blockbuster.

Diane and Doug watched it Monday night and then Diane brought me the DVD Tuesday afternoon. I watched it Tuesday night after my Young Women left.

Oh. my. goodness.

It was awesome!

And at the end, when Mary is standing outside and it's oh so softly snowing and Matthew comes out and they talk and then he drops to one knee, I kind of squealed to myself. Maybe even a little bit out loud.

Finally.

They are engaged.

Oh. my. goodness.

John was out of town and the girls haven't developed a love for all things Downton Abbey. Yet.

So I had to be excited all by myself.

I seriously can't wait for season 3 to start in January.

Seriously?

January?

Geez.
