[6/18/12] And the tradition continues.

One of the things I was quickly introduced to when I became a Kelley was my father-in-law's Caesar's Salad. A couple of days after we were married we drove to Kentucky for Christmas and for a Kentucky reception, and I think we had Caesar's Salad one of the first nights we were there.

I had never eaten Caesar's Salad before, and to be honest, I wasn't a very "risky" eater at the time. I wasn't really into trying new things.

But in order to make a good impression on my new family, I tried my father-in-law's Caesar Salad and absolutely 150% loved it!

Even after John told me, after I'd already eaten an entire bowl, that it had anchovies in it.

It was quite a milestone in my life, as far as eating goes.

We would make Caesar's Salad from time to time, but John's dad wouldn't let us write down the recipe.

It's secret, I guess.

But finally, after several years, I guess he got tired of John calling to get the recipe - again - and let him write it down.

We have Caesar's Salad at least for every birthday dinner and more often than that.

It is that good.

We love to dip steak or chicken in the dressing after the romaine is all gone.

We love to dip bread and rolls in the dressing after the romaine is gone.

It's almost drinkable.

Yes. It is that good.

When we eat out and order Caesar's Salad, we've never found one we like as much as our Kelley Caesar's Salad.

Last night we had a joint Mother's Day/Father's Day dinner since I was not feeling well due to my surgery on Mother's Day, and one of the things on our dinner menu was Caesar's Salad.

Kam told John that she wanted to learn how to make Caesar's Salad, so he showed her how.

It's about a 45 minute process, but so worth every. single. minute.

And her Caesar's Salad tasted ah-maz-ing!

Hopefully our other children will also want to learn how to make Caesar's Salad, so the tradition can continue in their future families, too.

And there is some leftover dressing, so guess what we're having for dinner?
