[5/26/12] Woodbadge. Or I'm way behind part 1.

Due to the two surgeries I had the past few weeks I'm way behind in my blogging.

Way behind.

So here is part 1 of trying to get caught up.

Last year John attended Woodbadge. He really learned a lot and enjoyed the two weekends he was there.  About a week after my first surgery the Woodbadge Beading Ceremony was held, where he and the other people who attended his Woodbadge session were beaded and became "official" Woodbadgers.

My real second cousin, Curtis Whetten, was on the Woodbadge staff last year and he put John's official Woodbadge scarf (probably not the correct Scout term...I should know this as my dad worked for the Boy Scouts his entire working career and I have two Eagle Scout sons...but oh well...) and beads on him. Curtis and his wife, Michelle, live in our ward and she's one of my Visiting Teachers. It is so cool, and quite unusual, to have actual relatives living right in my ward!

He's official!
