[3/5/12] Monday Memories: Tornado Warnings

One of the "joys" of living in the South is the occasional tornado warning. I really do enjoy living in the South, but I could seriously do without the tornado warnings.

This is how we spent a couple of hours Friday night:

In the basement in the exercise room watching the storm on TV

The girls joined the party, too.  I don't think they were much affected by the tornado warning:

John's office was tornado central - where we'd go if a tornado was actually coming our way:

See, we were prepared. Toilet paper, pretzels, and water. We did have some other food, but realized that some of our food needed to be replaced since the move. We also realized that we need to do some re-organization in our 72-hour kit bins. Luckily we had time to bring some stuff from other parts of the house and the kitchen. It was a good practice run...

Kailen and I replaced our 72-hour kit food Saturday at WalMart.  We should be good to go now.

Thankfully, the tornado that had been spotted didn't come our way. But the area we lived in on the west side of Atlanta during our first time in Georgia didn't fare so well.  We really feel for all the people affected by the tornadoes the past week.

We hope they have a speedy recovery!
