Well, guess what came Friday night?
Our new "smart" phones!
Here's what we've been doing...
And here's my new "smart"phone:

(Yes, it's upside down. Blogger won't let me rotate it) |
Although, truth be told, I wasn't feeling very "smart" yesterday. Luckily I have two very "smart" kids who just seem to be wired to know how to do these things. Without an instruction manual.
So. not. fair.
We've been playing "Words with Friends" and having fun with that.
And fun was what I needed after spending 2 1/2 hours on the phone with apple support because my ical on my laptop wouldn't sync with the ical on my phone. I think I stumped them because after the first hour I got to talk to a Senior Supervisor who gave me his direct line in case what we did over the phone for the second hour didn't work.
And it didn't, wouldn't you know, which meant another 1/2 hour on the phone. But I'm not complaining. Just thankful that now my icals sync together.
And I have a new friend - Senior Supervisor Stephen A. He understands the color coding fascination I have with my ical. He says he's the same way.
I do like to keep organized.
Saturday night my friend Diane sent me a text with a picture! That might not seem so awesome to anyone else, but with my old phone I couldn't get pictures with texts.
A whole new world has opened up for me.
And the camera on the iphone can reverse, so you can actually see the picture of yourself and others you're trying to take, which means no more self-with-others pictures where my neck is sticking out to make sure I get in the picture (Don't ask. I don't understand it either. I just know it happens every. single. time.)
One question: does anyone know how to change the ring tone for the alarm on iphones? Because the default one could seriously wake the dead. It about scared the bejeebers out of me this morning.
Gotta' go. Parker thinks he's going to beat me in "Words with Friends."
I think not.
when you go to the Alarm menu, tap "Edit" in the upper left corner, then click on the alarm time you've set, and it will bring you to a page that says "Edit Alarm." click on "Sound" and you can change it! :)
ReplyDeleteThank you, Jennie! I changed it to "harp" and I think that will be much better to wake up to! :o)
