I saw this on a fellow blogger's blog:
Yep. Pretty much describes me with technology sometimes. I often feel like I have no brain when I have to call customer support to help me with a computer problem. They start spouting all these computer terms and I pretty much have no idea what they're talking about. And trying to describe to them what I see on my screen must be quite humorous to them.
Like tonight, for example. I downloaded OSX lion to my mac in preparation for my new iphone I'm getting next week (yes, I am entering the world of actually getting email and the web on my phone. Unbelievable, I know).
Anyway.
I thought I was doing pretty well until my icalendar was totally blank. Totally. Blank. My world came to a screeching halt.
No icalendar?!
How will I survive? Actually, I won't.
Extreme panic set in. I felt like I might hyperventilate for the first time. And maybe even faint (which would not be the first time for that).
Because I live (and die) by my calendar.
I called apple support and they called right back. Right. Back. They have awesome customer service, I tell ya'.
The very nice and patient gentleman helped me figure out what was going on and in a few moments I had my icalendar back.
Talk about a tender mercy.
And I now know what I'm supposed to do tomorrow.
