[1/30/12] Monday Memories: Last week.

While I was doing this all last week:

Working on my part of our Natural Disasters group's presentation on the New Madrid Earthquake (I'm responsible for the Economic Impact, Human Toll, and Eyewitness Accounts)
And this:

Getting ready for the class I taught the Young Women on Wednesday night (it was really fun!)
And this:

Finishing up and posting the first submission of my paper using Formalist theory, editing two other papers, revising my paper and posting submission #2, editing submission #2 of one of the other two papers, and trying to work ahead and choose the short story for my next paper using a different theory (Yes, this picture was posed. There is no way to re-create the utter chaos that was my kitchen table this past week to accurately portray the...chaos. But I so wish I'd taken a picture.)
And the normal "real" life stuff,

The girls were doing this:

Hailey (with four blankets!)
Abby (who likes to sit on a chair right by me)
I must admit, I did suffer from some brief moments of envy. Their "life" looked pretty good. Especially since it rained most of last week and I so wanted to bury myself in some blankets (I would have needed to borrow some of Hailey's) and read a book or watch a movie.

But even in spite of all the chaos, my life is pretty much awesome. I'm blessed with a wonderful family, friends I can always count on, a warm home, cute chihuahua girls, a great group of Young Women and leaders, and the gospel, which is my foundation.

So I say, to any chaos that might think of entering my life this week, "Bring. it. on."

I can handle it. :o)
