I have made some very profound observations this afternoon.
Observation #1:
I study much better in sweats, pajama bottoms, or basketball shorts, (depending on the season, of course), paired with a comfy t-shirt, sweatshirt, or sometimes both.
I haven't done a legit scientific study, I just know what I know.
I love, love, love, to study in these:
These are my all-time favorite sweats. I bought a black pair when we were in Idaho last Thanksgiving and I loved them. A lot.
One day in February Kam texted me and said, "Mom. Your favorite sweats are on sale, buy-one-get-one-free. They come in black and navy."
"Get me one of each," I texted back, because I've learned the hard way that when you find something you really love you should buy extras. I've also learned the hard way that when you don't follow your own advice and you go later to buy extras, you can't find any.
Observation #2:
I study way better in the morning.
After working most of the day I find my mind wandering, when I'm supposed to be studying, to how I study better in sweats, pajama bottoms, or basketball shorts.
And that is not good. I need to be thinking about grammar and diagramming sentences, and specifically for this week, be and linking verbs. I know, you can't stand the excitement. Obviously I can't either, because I'm thinking about studying in sweats, pajama bottoms, or basketball shorts.
Observation #3:
As I'm thinking about observations #1 and #2, I'm making another observation.
I'm still in the clothes I wore to work today.
That has to be the reason I'm having a hard time concentrating on grammar and diagramming sentences and be and linking verbs.
And I know just what to do to fix this problem. :o)
