I've been working at John's office the past few weeks and will continue to work this semester. One of the things I'm going to be doing for him is a monthly newsletter. Since I'm going to be doing this at home each month after this semester (I love work I can do at home - yeah!), I brought my Mac to work on Friday so I could get started. You know, get my template set up, etc.

Let me tell you. I have missed using my Mac at work. A lot.

I love my Mac.

I will never go back to a PC again. Never. Ever. Never.

My Mac has an awesome skin to protect it. This skin makes me happy because I love tulips:

We are becoming a family of Mac lovers. Zach has a Mac. Kam has a Mac. Kailen wants a Mac when she goes to college. We're not sure what Parker wants since he hasn't voiced an opinion yet, but I hope we can convert him to the Mac side from the dark PC side. (Just kidding to all you PC lovers out there. Kinda). :o)

We haven't converted John yet since a lot of what he does for work is not Mac-friendly. Yet. So he doesn't quite understand our Mac devotion. Yet.

Yes, there is a little bit of a learning curve when converting to the Mac side. But my sister, who converted me, sent me this oh-so-very-helpful book to assist me with my conversion:

It was a really good thing she sent me this book because John is usually my tech helper/explainer/fixer, but he wasn't much help since he's not converted. Yet. So I got to learn all by myself. And I did!!! Which, for me, is huge since I am not the techy of the family by any stretch of any imagination.

And Apple has the best customer support. The best. And they are always so patient with us non-techy types. I can call them when I have a question and they are always very helpful. And really, really patient. Because I am so totally not computer techy and I need things put into vocabulary I can understand (like non-computer type vocabulary). And they don't ever make me feel dumb for not "getting it." Like I said, they are really, really patient.

And something else that's really cool is that if you need to use Windows but love Macs, you can use Parallels and run both operating systems on your Mac

Genius.
