(This post is an update to Tuesday's post).
John has been forced decided to take a step into the Mac side. A tiny step, but a step nonetheless. And I am so impressed with his bravery and courage!
A few weeks ago he bought a Samsung tablet to use for work and to say he was very excited is a bit of an understatement. Unfortunately he couldn't get the tablet to do what he needed it to do. He had a techy friend help him. He was on the phone with Varsity's tech guys. A lot. He was on the phone with Samsung's customer support. A lot. It still wouldn't do what he needed it to do.
So this morning he took his tablet back to Best Buy and came home with...drumroll please...an ipad2!
Here's how the conversation went down when he told me how this semi-miraculous event ocurred:
John: They took my tablet back (he was worried they wouldn't, and they did, even though they weren't very happy about it.)
Me (working on Monday's memories blog post): Really? That's great! What did you get?
John: An ipad.
Me (instantly stopped typing and looked at him in sheer amazement): Really?
John (smiling): I know.
John hasn't read my blog yet even though he knows about it. Evidently a few people, who do read my blog, have mentioned to him this week that he really needs to come over to the Mac side, and they've been teasing him a wee bit.
And even though he is a new excited-but-still-can't-believe-I-bought-a-Mac guy, I'm very proud of him.
All it takes is one tiny step.
