[7/12/11] It's a Conspiracy

Lately it seems like a little elf came into my house and made the fonts in all my books smaller, music books included. I think this same elf visited my local library and did the same thing. It had to be a little elf because I am not getting older. No I am not.

I did get some 1.0 reading glasses a few months ago because the text in some of my classwork is really small. Like 8 or less. And they did help, but at that time I only needed them for the small stuff. But now, since the elf visited, I need them for larger stuff too.

One problem I've found with needing reading glasses is that when I'm reading before going to bed to make myself sleepy enough to fall asleep and to shut my overly-active brain down, that when I do start to fall asleep and the book hits me in the face, it's a lot more painful with reading glasses on rather than off. Yes it is.

Cute 1.0 reading glasses are really hard to find. That's why mine stay at home. Although the ones I got aren't really that non-cute. But still. You can find really cute reading glasses in the 1.25 and up range. That's so not fair.

And it seems like the medicine bottle label manufacturers have gone to a smaller font lately too. What's up with that? Has the elf visited them too? That has been one busy elf.

I remember when my parents first started needing reading glasses. They sure seemed older to me then than I am now.

I'm sticking with the visiting little elf theory.
