This morning I got to run on my favorite trail. We tagged along with John on his business trip to Orlando and the last time I was here I didn’t run on my trail and have regretted it ever since. This is the trail where I ran my long runs when I was training for my marathon back in 2000. We share a lot of memories, sweat and a few tears, this trail and I.

Today I ran 3 miles and I had forgotten how totally humid Florida is. It kicked me right in the patootie. But I loved every minute of it and wish I could’ve run more. I forgot to bring my tunes so I got to just think instead. I thought about so many things that have happened in my life since the last time I ran on this trail 8 ½ years ago before we moved to Arizona and then to Atlanta 1 year ago:

And I’m sure there’s more, which I’ll add as I remember.
It’s been a wonderful 8 ½ years with trials, joys, additions and subtractions. But through it all I know my blessings have been multiplied. Many, many times.
